Unlocking futures...
Many girls have the potential to succeed — but lack exposure to the opportunities that education can unlock.
By supporting career mentorship programmes, educational field trips, and careers workshops, you help girls discover the possibilities available to them beyond the classroom.
Educating Africa works with schools in Kenya and Nigeria to ensure that girls not only access education, but also gain the confidence, guidance, and exposure needed to pursue ambitious futures.
Your donation helps expand opportunity.
Through our careers exposure and mentorship programmes, we have already supported:
Girls reached through workshops and mentoring
Educational field trips to professional environments
Guest speakers from industry leaders
Each experience helps students connect education with real-world opportunities.

For many students, career pathways can feel distant or unclear.
Without exposure to professionals or workplaces, it can be difficult for girls to imagine themselves in leadership roles or specialised careers.
Exposure transforms how students see their future.

Mentorship plays a powerful role in shaping a student’s ambitions.
When girls meet professionals who share their experiences, they begin to see new possibilities for themselves.
Mentors support students by helping them:
These relationships can influence a young person’s trajectory for years to come.
Case Study: Keeping Busola and Damilola in School
Busola and Damilola’s lives changed suddenly when their father was killed in a bomb explosion, at age 1 and 2. He had gone to his wife’s shop at the time in one of the barracks in Abuja, Nigeria. A stranger holding a bag left it at the shop entrance when the device detonated. In the aftermath, the extended family blamed his wife—the shop owner—for the tragedy, and no one offered support.
With almost no resources left, their mother would seek help from relatives but no help came. Those who wanted to help will tell their mom to send the girls back to the village with lack of proper parental guidance and no education.
The children ended up out of school for an entire year until their mother could afford to enroll them again. Educating Africa Fund found the girls at age 12 and 13 and we stepped in to support. The fund provided support that allowed Busola and Damilola to return to school, removing the financial barrier their mother couldn’t overcome on her own. Today, both girls have successfully completed their secondary school education.

Our programmes include guest speakers and learning experiences from professionals across technology, entrepreneurship, and business.
Organisations contributing to career exposure sessions have included:
These partnerships help students connect classroom learning to real-world opportunities.

When girls can see what is possible, their ambitions grow.
Careers workshops, mentorship programmes, and field trips introduce students to the worlds they can belong to.
Your support helps ensure these opportunities continue to reach more girls.
Education changes lives — but exposure changes how students see their future. By supporting girls' mentorship and career exposure programmes in Africa, you help young people build confidence, ambition, and belief in their potential. Together, we can help girls see the possibilities that education creates.
