Unlocking futures...
Educating Africa began with a simple but urgent recognition:
Talent was present.
Opportunity was not.
What started as direct educational support for individual girls has evolved into a multi-layered, evidence-led programme operating across Kenya and Nigeria.
It is defined by girls who:
Today, Educating Africa operates as a structured ecosystem combining access, skills, mentorship, and teacher capacity building to create lasting change.
We are not responding to symptoms.
We are redesigning systems of opportunity.
Educating Africa was born from a simple truth I couldn’t ignore: talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not.
I’ve met brilliant girls who are curious, capable, full of promise. Their education is disrupted by costs, instability, and lack of access to the tools and exposure that unlock futures. When that happens, it isn’t just one girl’s dream that is delayed. It is a family’s trajectory. A community’s progress. A generation’s leadership.
That’s why Educating Africa is built as more than a bursary fund.
We support girls to stay in school, yes — but we also invest in future-ready skills, including digital confidence and AI literacy, alongside mentorship, wellbeing, and the ecosystems that surround every learner: teachers, parents, and schools.
Our approach is practical, evidence-led, and rooted in dignity. We track attendance and retention, measure growth in digital confidence, strengthen teaching practice, and create safer, more inclusive environments where girls can thrive.
To every donor, partner, and supporter: thank you. When you give, you’re not just funding a moment, you’re helping to build a future where girls can learn, lead, and shape the world.
With gratitude,
Tessy Mosindi
